Patricia Swannell: Legacy - A Reciprocal Tribute

Legacy; A Reciprocal Tribute

Patricia Swannell's project at the Woodland Trust at the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Wood, Leicestershire, opened on 26 November 2014.

Legacy is a print and photography project conceived and designed by Patricia and part funded by the Arts Council England. It will record the growth of the emerging wood, photographing one family in the same place, against the background of the growing woodland, each year for the next six decades. These photos will, in time, replace her etchings of 60 wildflowers from the site which are on permanent display at the local museum.

This will be an on-going project. If you happen to be in the area in the next 60 years, please visit the Woodland Trust at the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Wood. You can take a photograph of yourself on the designed platform and upload it in the Woodland Trust website so you too can be part of this project.
