A new collaboration between ceramicist Alison Gautrey and wood artists Malcolm Martin and Gaynor Dowling, that begins a dialogue between the delicate precision of spun porcelain and the complex textures of hand-carved oak. Playing with the ambiguity of object and plinth, for this first selection Martin and Dowling chose to create pieces raising and presenting Gautrey’s open bowls in different ways, to which she has in turn by responded by creating new bowls for each piece.
